After several estimates from various companies to replace all my equipment, Indoor Comfort Team had the best price, and provided the most service (some companies would not replace my water heater). While I was expecting to qualify for the Ameren rebate of $450 for efficiency upgrade, Ameren unexpectedly cancelled the program and I missed the window by one day. Indoor Comfort Team gave me an extra discount of $100 (which came out of their pocket, and not Ameren’s – they might not have done anything). They were professional, prompt, and worked all day to get the job done in the one day. I now have HVAC equipment that I know I can trust, and both the Air Conditioner and Furnace are under warranty and registered with Trane. I will be contacting Indoor Comfort Team next year for my annual service. While I generally don’t give “A” ratings across the board, I could not fault any aspect of this experience.

I contacted Indoor Comfort Team to get an estimate for a replacement furnace. The heat exchanger on my old one cracked while I was out of town for Thanksgiving and it wasn’t worth the cost to repair. The estimator (Jason) was great and very professional. Whereas other companies provided an estimate over the phone or only spent a few minutes at the house, Jason was there for an hour talking through the different options at a variety of price ranges. He also recalculated the BTU heating needs of the house rather than just going off of the BTU’s of the old furnace. Two days later they were out to install a new 80% efficiency furnace (The payoff period was too long for a higher efficiency, other salespeople say 5 years, I calculated in my situation it would be more like 12 years). The installation crew was professional. Overall I was very happy with the work performed and the price quoted. It’s nice to have heat in the house again!

We have two zone heating and air conditioning that was starting to see its better day over 20+ years old. We have a downstairs and upstairs, and we notified them that the upstairs one never seemed to cool as well. He checked and that unit had a leak in the coolant line. We decided to replace it after they explained the options with another unit. Installation of new Trane unit, running new lines, increasing size of return vents and putting in ductwork for a return in the basement (which we plan to finish off) were included in our price. It also included an Ameren efficiency discount. We have used this company for two years and have always been pleased. They were prompt, and had to return to do the return vent correction (which was the builder’s fault) and all was done in a timely manner and with professionalism. My wife, Frances, and I have rarely been as pleased with any purchase experience as we have been with the heating and cooling system we just had installed by the Indoor Comfort Team. Your sales manager, Michael Boone, was extremely generous with his time and expertise, answering endless questions and carefully explaining multiple written options. We especially appreciated his refusal to make extravagant promises regarding savings on energy bills, choosing instead to direct us to calculators on utility company and third party websites. Finally, Mike did not press us to make a hasty decision, so we were able to deliberate all we wanted and thus feel comfortable with our final decision.
The installation crew included Tobak, John and Paul. These guys were thoughtful and thorough. Tobak explained the process before the team began, so that there were no surprises. With the help of Ricky, they seemed to have all the little easily overlooked things they would need, right down to crushed rock and wall-building blocks to make a foundation for the compressor and coil, so that they could work quickly and efficiently. Paul had to move a lot of soil and dig out the roots of a small tree in order to make room for the pad, but when he was done there was a neat installation and no mess. There might have been a safety issue with crushed rock temporarily left on the street, but the guys anticipated it and there was no problem. I really appreciated Tobak’s attention to detail and everyone’s workmanship. Also, the team’s willingness to accommodate all of my requests was most gratifying. Along with the many other things he did, John was very helpful with operational hints and instructions on how to operate the thermostat. We enjoyed his cheerfulness. I feel like we have top of the line equipment as well as a top of the line installation. It is magnificent, especially considering the inadequate duct work there was to start with. I especially like the enclosure you place under furnaces to increase the air flow. And clean-up was exemplary. I know we will enjoy the many little extras and perks like extended maintenance that only your company seemed to offer. Darrin’s follow up call was appreciated, and I liked the clear way he answered my questions about warm-up time in the morning. Eric too was extra helpful and willing to spend quite a bit of time explaining maintenance of the equipment to me, even though I was late arriving to let him in and it was the end of the day.

We purchased a home about two years ago. The seller had just replaced a new furnace and a/c right before we had moved into this home. The unit never seemed to work properly so we decided to contact the contractor whom installed the unit but they never returned our calls. We finally decided to do something on our own and started calling different a/c contractors and getting their opinions. We have had seven different company’s come out to our home and give us different solutions and the price range was anywhere from $6,000 to $25,000. The more I spoke to them the more confusing it got. Some of them didn’t make sense at all and wanted to sell me a system for each level of my home. Most companies recommended I spend $20,000 or more. I didn’t know whom to trust anymore. Finally I get this flyer in the mail from a company called Indoor Comfort Team so I decided to try them out because they had this great warranty offer of 10yr parts and labor. I called them and my first impression over the phone was that they actually listen to what I had to say and were actually concerned about the situation, so they scheduled their installation manager to come out and give me an estimate. Adam came out with very professional appearance and attitude, and best of all was that he wore actual shoe covers when he entered my home I was very impressed. He listened to what I had to say and then did some investigation throughout my home measured and calculated the house in order to size the right unit. He also explained to me that our system was over sized and improperly installed and at this point nothing can be done except replacing the system. He recommended one system that would be comfortable for our home without us spending a fortune and that was high efficiency variable speed hybrid system. He really took the time to show me variety of different products and solutions and explained differences and gave me an advice which was to call two more contractors that he had recommended and to get their opinion as well. After he left I called them right away and scheduled them to come out. They actually confirmed his solution and were at the same price range so I decided to go with Indoor comfort team’s proposal since they were the most professional and caring. They scheduled me a week after that and their crew came out right on time and had my system running a few hours later and I was amazed that every room was comfortable. Every time the guys left and entered my home they had their shoe covers on which was great. The owner himself called me the very same day and took the time to come out and do his personal tour and answered any questions that I had, he even gave me his personal cell phone # for me to contact him anytime I needed to. I could not be happier. This is a ten star company and I would recommend them to everyone.

When we met Adam at the Home Show several years ago we really didn’t think we would be calling very soon, but in August 2006 we had a dilemma when our air conditioner went out just as we were preparing to leave town.
It was a weekend and Adam explained that he was also getting ready to leave on vacation but he agreed to come over to see if he could repair our unit until a more convenient time for both of us.
Our air conditioner was old and beyond repair so Adam agreed to come on Saturday in order to replace our unit with a 13 seer York. Within a day Adam and his extremely competent crew completely replaced the unit including an indoor coil.

After getting six estimates done in my home, Adam was the last of the six of which to some extent the previous estimates were way higher and their sales pitch were trying to somewhat pressure you into making a commitment into purchasing their equipment at the time of estimate.

So far the 95% to 98% York Furnace has lived up to our expectations as the gas bills I sent you qualify this. I also appreciated the conscientious attitude that the installer had in doing the job. I could tell he was a craftsman when he transformed a flat piece of sheet metal to a square seamless plenum for the ductwork it was just about perfect. You could feel and see his patience in his work, he was a natural with his hands and was versed in all the facets of the installation including but limited to making the hole in the concrete for the PVC pipes to setting the furnace on rubber pads for level as well as for noise reduction. He even let me do something since I like to get my hands dirty. I don’t think I could have got a better job anywhere. I have worked with my hands a lifetime and know what a real craftsman is.
